    AfricaAdapt is pleased to announce the launch of the 2nd Edition of the Knowledge Sharing Innovation Fund! This year, the Fund offers grants of up to US$6,500 to projects that seek to overcome barriers to sharing knowledge with ’hard to reach’ or marginalized African communities. Applications should be submitted by 3 September, 2010.

    The Global Environment Facility (GEF) is the main financer of the ALM. UNDP is implementing the project in partnership with the UNFCCC-Secretariat, the World Bank, UNEP and FAO as the core partners.

    The adverse impacts of climate change affect core development needs, including access to drinking or irrigation water, food security, and public health. Adaptation is, therefore, part of development and cannot be addressed in isolation.
